La medida fue respaldada con 33 votos a favor y 20 en contra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El documento, difundido por varios senadores en redes sociales, recuerda que en marzo de 2020 el Departamento de Justicia de Estados Unidos acus\u00f3 a Nicol\u00e1s Maduro, Diosdado Cabello, Hugo Carvajal y otros altos funcionarios venezolanos de liderar la red criminal, imput\u00e1ndolos por narcoterrorismo. El senador Alejandro Chac\u00f3n cuestion\u00f3 la iniciativa, al advertir que pod\u00eda interpretarse como una intromisi\u00f3n en la independencia de poderes: \u201cEl mismo respeto que exigimos al presidente hacia el Congreso es el que debemos dar a su investidura\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En contraste, Carlos Fernando Motoa (Cambio Radical) defendi\u00f3 la decisi\u00f3n: \u201cSi el Ejecutivo no quiere llamar al r\u00e9gimen de Maduro como lo que es, el Legislativo s\u00ed tiene esa facultad. Existe la diplomacia parlamentaria\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El senador Jota Pe Hern\u00e1ndez (Alianza Verde) respald\u00f3 la propuesta y alert\u00f3 que el Cartel de los Soles \u201cle est\u00e1 haciendo mucho da\u00f1o a la regi\u00f3n\u201d.
